FAQs
What should I do if my dog is coughing or honking?
Coughing, honking, sneezing or changes in breathing can have many causes.
If your dog is coughing, struggling to breathe, or their symptoms are worsening, speak to your vet. Sudden breathing difficulty is an emergency and needs prompt veterinary attention.
ClearBark™ is a complementary pet food, not a treatment for a medical condition.
How long until we notice a difference?
Four to six weeks of daily chews. Most owners who tell us something changed noticed it somewhere around week three or four.
That's why we point people at the 3 jar supply. One jar tells you if your dog will eat it. Three tells you if it's working.
Is it safe with what my vet gave us?
ClearBark™ is a complementary pet food, not a medicine. It isn't intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
Show your vet the ingredient list before you start.
Breathing that's suddenly worse, or gums that look blue or grey, is an emergency. Phone your vet, don't reach for a chew.
My dog spits everything out. Will she eat it?
It's a soft honey and collagen chew, not a tablet. Most dogs take it from your hand and think they've been given a treat.
If yours won't, crumble it over dinner.
Is it right for my breed?
It's dosed for dogs up to about 15kg. Yorkies, Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Pugs, Shih Tzus, Maltese, Toy Poodles and French Bulldogs.
Bigger dogs need more active ingredient than one chew holds, so this isn't the right product for them.
What if it doesn't work?
Some dogs have lots of factors that contribute to their breathing. Try fixing other aspects of their lifestyle whilst simultaneously helping them out with our supplement!
